Top Ten Tuesday: 2/3/15

toptentuesday

Hey bookworms! I’ve been seeing everybody’s top Ten Tuesday from The Broke and Bookish. I know it is late because my class runs late on Tuesday, but I wanted to do it too! Here it is the Top Ten Books I on my TBR (that I own) that I can’t believe I haven’t read yet!

1.The Book Thief by Markus Zusack

The Book Theif

Yes I know I wanted to read it over winter break but I was in a reading slump, so I am really hoping to get to it this year!

2. Echo of Us: The Hybrid Chronicles Book 3 by Khat Zhang

Echo of Us

This book has been out for only a little while, but I can’t believe I didn’t keep better track of its release. I am definitely going to finish this series

3. The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger

the devil wears prada

I loved the movie and I bought this book two Christmases ago I really have no idea why I haven’t picked it up yet!

4.The Help by Kathryn Stockett

The Help

Another book where I loved the movie I bought this book for a class that ended up being canceled, but I’ve heard so many good things about it!

5.The House of Hades by Rick Riordan

House of Hades

Although I preferred the Percy Jackson series more, I am not one to start a series and not finish. These are a bit slower for my taste, but I love revisiting old characters and getting to know the new.

6. Fated by Alyson Noel

Fated

I loved The Immortals Series by her as well as the Riley Bloom spin off. I guess that my love of those series might hold this series to too high of a standard, but I loved how she described it at the 2013 Las Vegas Valley Book Festival I need to take the plunge!

7. The Maze Runner by James Dashner

The Maze Runner

I watched the movie recently and it scared and startled me multiple times. I really want to see how much more intense the book is.

8.The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri

The Namesake

Another movie I have loved and it has been on my TBR for I want to say 8 years. I bought it for Christmas this year it is a little bit different that my normal reading, but I am up for the challenge!

9.The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter

The Goddess Test

I love anything mythology, so why haven’t I read this?!

10. Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

Eat Pray Love

Another movie I know, but it is also a memoir. I really want to step out of my reading comfort zone and I really think Gilbert can help me do it. I’ve seen her Ted Talk on Creative Genius and she is just amazing, so this is going to get read this year!

So Bookworms there is my Top Ten! Have you read any of these? Especially the adaptions feel free to share your opinions, but no spoilers please! Have you ever been scared to read a new series by an author because you love the older too much? Share the troubles with me! I know I have been a bit absent lately, but I hope this and my last post make up for it!
