Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’d Love to See Hypnotize Me on the Big Screen

T10 2

Hey Bookworms! Sorry for another late post, but my computer has decided to have issues today. It is getting older and I think it heard that I want to replace it, so I think it is rebelling against me… Any who today’s post is another Top Ten Tuesday post a weekly meme in which we are given a theme or question and must respond with the top 10 books that correspond for us! This meme is hosted by the lovely blog The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s question is what Top Ten books would you like to see come to life on screen as either shows or movies? I am going to do 5 Movies and 5 Shows! At the end I will also include my favorite adaptions. So let’s get started!

Top 5 Books I’d Love to See Hypnotize Me on the Big Screen: Movies

1. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

The Night Circus

Anyone who knows I love this book knows how much I want to theme everything after this book! I would love to see the magic come to the silver screen and I would even love to be an extra as a Rever! I think a few more years and special effects could make this book an amazing movie! I think the HP set designers would make the tents lovely!

2. Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly

Revolution

I think this would be a really touching and interesting piece to see on screen. The themes would really come through strong and maybe bring a few tears forth

3. If You Could be Mine by Sara Farizan

If You Could be Mine

Honestly hits a lot of topics especially about accepting yourself this would be another movie to break your heart, but a movie you could connect with the characters with.

4. Everything Leads to you by Nina LaCour

Everything Leads to You

I think this would be beautiful and cute story to see and make you melt as well as give an inside to movies. I finished this recently and loved it!

5. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

Cruel Beauty

I don’t think Beauty and the Beast gets enough adaption to screen because Cinderella mostly dominates retellings and I loved this world and would love to see a not perfect heroine who is not all good come to life on screen.

Top 5 Books I’d Love to See Hypnotize Me on the Big Screen: Shows

1. Vampire Academy and/or Bloodlines by Richelle Mead
Vampire AcademyBloodlines

I know the movie flopped (even if I thought it was awesome) I’d love to see the school aspect and my favorite characters on screen especially Adrian!

2. The Selection Series by Kiera Cass

The SelectionThe EliteThe One

I know this is optioned for a movie, but it would be so much more fun to see this as a show. We’d get to know the characters better and get to feel more. Get to see the little details more intimately.

3. House of Night series by PC and Kristin Cast

Marked

I know many people don’t care for how long this series is, but I think as as a show they can focus more on the major plot points plus it is another school atmosphere I’d love to explore.

4. Raised by Wolves Series Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Raised by Wolves

I didn’t liked the last book, but I would love to see Bryn’s life in the pack and all the details. Plus I love werewolves a werewolf book had to make it on my list!

5. Paranormalcy Series by Kiersten White

Paranormalcy

I would love to see Evie’s life in the agency and her interactions with those she captures! As well as discovering who she is

My Favorite Adaptions

1. The Bitten TV Show

I just am sooo in love with this series and it is my not so guilty pleasure! So Happy it got signed for season 3!

2, Howl’s Moving Castle

The book has more world building to it and has a slightly different setting, but both are adorable to be engrossed in. It has a beautiful world!

3. PS I Love You

I read the book after and I know the setting is Americanized, but Ahern was on board with it I think the tragedy in this movie still played out beautifully! Plus it has Gerard Butler need I say more? ^_~

Well bookworms those were my choices. What were yours? Link me yours down below. What are your favorite adaptions I am always looking for more movie recommendations! I just can’t do scary. I know this is up a little late, but technology wasn’t my friend today. Hope it will be nice for my upcoming posts! This post did inspire me to write something similar to this topic. So look for that on Monday! Happy reading!

  1. I think The Night Circus is in its early stage of movie development, actually! I haven’t read the book yet, but I really want to, especially if there’s going to be a movie. Not to mention the great reviews! And I agree, The Selection and Paranormalcy would be great adapted to the small and big screen! ❤ Great list.
