My Ambitious July TBR: I Aim High

july

Hey Bookworms it’s time for a TBR! Now usually I try to do my Wrap-Up (which you can click and see) and TBR together, but I am trying to aim high with this one and read 20 books, so I didn’t want to overwhelm you guys with 34 books in one post. Hence the separate posts. Now some of these will be from my 20 Books of Summer Goal, some will be library books, that I need to read, and others will be what I am currently craving. I’ll start with the books I’m currently reading, and move to library books, and then so on! Now I may not describe them all in great detail, but as always the Goodreads links are in the title.

July TBR

1. Frostfire by Amanda Hocking

Frostfire

I am only a bit in, but I am really liking it so far! I like trolls who knew?

2. When You’re Back by Abbi Glines

When You're Back

I’m half way through and I have a few feelings and a bit of confusion, but I will wait till the end of it to decide how to address them after aka a review.

3. Princess in Waiting by Meg Cabot

Princess in Waiting

Don’t love this new reader, but the audio books are quick and easy reads. Not my favorite read of the series so far, but still funny.

4. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

An Ember in the Ashes

Yeah I didn’t do well in the readalong, but I want to finish it this month! I found the audio book on Scribd, so I’m hoping it helps.

5. Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin

A Clash of Kings

Now I don’t know if I will be able to finish this, but I hope to get the majority of it done in July.

6. There’s No Place Like Here by Cecelia Ahern

There's No Place Like Here

Another Cecelia Ahern audio book and I hope it is a good copy. My library ones have been a hit and miss.

7. The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks

The Longest Ride

The only Sparks movie I love besides A Walk to Remember. Got this as a library audio book as well, so we’ll see!

8. Blue Moon by Alyson Noel

Blue Moon

Reread for me from the library and I hope I find comfort in this couple once more!

9 Hotblooded by Nancy Holder and Debbie Veguie

Hot Blooded

Read the first book in the fall and I am eager to see what happens to these characters. It looks like I am the first to read this library book, so I am even more eager to read it

10. The Young Elites by Marie Lu

The Young Elites

Another Library book that I can’t wait to read! The synopsis makes me think of X-men so I am even more eager to read it!

11. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor

Daughter of Blood and Starlight

I listened to the audiobook of the first. This book is huge and it’s a library book, so I must at least attempt to tackle it! I would rather listen to the audio book though since the reader is the same and I loved her.

12. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

A Court of Thorns and Roses

I am so sad that I had to cancel my Uppercase subscription for a bit (sucks being a broke college student), but in the meantime I plan to finish this in the meantime.

13. Tiger Lily by Jodi Anderson

Tiger Lily

Peter Pan retelling that I’ve had forever and haven’t read. I found the audiobook on scribd, so may half it or start it to get me going.

14. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Red Queen

I have had this since March and I’ve wanted to read it since the trailer. I waited for the hype to die down, so I am safe to not be influenced and ready to get it started!

15. Switched by Amanda Hocking

Switched

This is a reread for me, but I want to finish the series and I read this years ago! I am hoping Frostfire will spark me to finish the series!

16. Torn by Amanda Hocking

Torn

Book 2: Because binge reading can’t hurt right?

17. Ascend by Amanda Hocking

Ascend

Book 3: Because I really want to finish a series this month!

18. Past My Defenses by Wendy Sparrow

perf5.000x8.000.indd

I bought this books thanks to Judith at Bookdr3ams! It’s a werewolf book there needs to be nothing more to be said to get me to pick it up!

19. This Weakness for You by Wendy Sparrow

This Weakness For You

Sequel to the book above, so why not try and finish them both in one month.

20. Broken by Kelley Armstrong

Broken

I am determined to finish this book this month! For me summer is the perfect time to read Kelley Armstrong books maybe because it is when I read my first book by her.

That is all for now bookworms! I am not saying I will stick to it, but it will be awesome if I do! I will probably deviate from it because I am in a READ ALL THE BOOKS mood! Sadly I am not a speed reader, so that goal is probably not doable. What do you plan on reading? Do you feel your goals are too big some time? Have you read any of these? Share your feels, but no spoilers please! Happy Reading!

  1. Yess great TBR, I can’t wait for you to read A Court of Thorns and Roses & An Ember in the Ashes! And I hope you enjoy The Young Elites & Red Queen, both books have gotten a lot of hype, Red Queen especially. Happy reading! XD Enjoy your weekend. 😉

    • I waited for the hype to die with Red Queen and Young Elites didn’t want to be influenced by the like or dislike of them. I’m nervous to read ACoTaR for that reason, but I don’t like letting my sent books sit for long. Happy Reading to you too! Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Wow, that is very ambitious, I wish i could read a bit faster to get through all the good books. I’m reading Tremors at the moment by Ryan Mark. I hope you enjoy yours, you’ve plenty of variety there.

    • Thank you Amanda! The reason it’s ambitious is because of my library books honestly piling up out of nowhere. Plus I’m trying to push myself to read faster! I hope you enjoy your book! Thank you for commenting =]
