Top Ten Tuesday: The Books that Got Away in 2017 that I’m determined to get to in 2018!

T10 2

Hey Bookworms! Lets keep my Resolutions on a roll by posting a Top Ten Tuesday post which I haven’t done in forever, but this one is more of a goals list, so I thought why not? For those of you who don’t know is a bookish feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but after this post will be moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in which us in the bookish community are given a theme or topic that we answer with our top bookish answers. This weeks theme is books weeks topic is Top 10 books we wanted to get to in 2017, but are going to follow-up with in 2018, so let’s get started!

1. Moon Chosen by PC Cast

Moon Chosen

To be fair I did start this book in 2017 because it was my most anticipated read, but since it was kind of a chunky thing it kinda got pushed aside. I’m hoping to finish it this month which is why I put it on my January TBR.

2. City of the Lost by Kelley Armstrong

City of the Lost

Another book I started, and desperately want to finish! This isn’t one I willingly put down, but the drawback of borrowing books from the library especially on overdrive is they expire, and if you’re not done you have to wait your turn again. This one has a long waiting list and I can’t wait to see how it ends because that plot twist!!

3. The Star Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi

The Star-Touched Queen

This has been on my TBR for too long and it’s practically screaming my name. Luckily my beautiful best friend got me my own paper copy to push me to read it. I am just so in love and I cannot wait to devour it.

4. The Mirror King by Jodi Meadows

The Mirror King

Jodi is one of my favorite authors and I feel so bad for not finishing this series especially because I adored the first one, so no matter what I will finish this!

5.  The Valiant by Lesley Livingston

The Valiant

Another author I adore and I loved her first series Wondrous Strange beyond all point, so honestly, I won’t lie when I have ridiculously high hopes for this book.

6. Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst

This was an ARC I got from RT 16 and I know it’s already published, but I desperately want to read and finish this.

7. The Isle of the Lost by Melissa De La Cruz

The Isle of the Lost

This is another book I keep picking up and putting down and not because of anything bad but because I try and read it before bed and with my job, I usually fall asleep at 7:30 PM because I wake up at 4:30 AM. My eyes get heavy without my permission.

8. Vampire Academy (The 10th Anniversary Edition) by Richelle Mead

10th Anniversary Edition of Vampire Academy

Although this is a reread this is another treat that I bought myself and haven’t had the time to get to. Even if it’s the short stories in the back or the nostalgia this book is another screaming at me to READ IT!

9. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

I am addicted to the show and now that the season is over I need to read the books to tie me over until the next one.

10. The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan

The Joy Luck Club

Another adaption I’ve seen but not read yet. I feel from a movie it’s a book I really should read. I really hope it makes me feel the feels.

Well bookworms that is all for now. What books did you not get to in 2017 that are screaming your names in 2018? Are any of these on your list? Did you do TTT? Let me know in the comments down below with a link or if you want to do a buddy read on any of these. I think that definitely will push me to read more this year. I hope you all have a wonderful week and are starting out your year as a great one, and as always happy reading!

  1. Yes! I can definitely recommend Outlander, it’s amazing! Hope you enjoy it.
I haven’t read Vampire Academy yet but I’ve got a copy on my bookshelf, so maybe 2018 will be the year I jump on the bandwagon.
