Writing Wednesday: Come Home

Writing Wednesdays

Hey Bookworms and fellow writers! Today I decided to post one of the most vulnerable things I could for you which is my own writing and not talking about other people’s. I haven’t done this in forever, but I think this poem may help other people. Other LDR warriors. So before I chicken out here you go!

Come Home

Every night she whispers, “Come Home ”

He breathes, “Don’t let me sleep alone ”

She smiles at the glow of the screen.

His eyes shine at the shape of her face in pixels.

“Soon enough.” They promise.

Count downs and miles…

Plane rides for “hellos” and “see you soons”

One day they pray “Coming home” won’t be measured in moments but an every night peace

So they send kisses and smiles and dream of the day their promise of “Soon Enough” comes true.

So the formatting is a little off but that’s because I don’t know how to control the spacing on here. I hope you find something in this and maybe feel less alone? I hope you guys like it but I am always open to comments as long as their constructive. Let me know if you guys want to see more. As always Happy Reading and I hope you’re having a great week.

PS Here is one of the Songs that inspired it
