WWW Wednesday: The Books That Have Kept Me Company in my Slumpy Mood…

WWW Wednesday

Hey bookworms! I know this is a late-ish post, but I just finished an assignment a bit ago and felt I could use some fun. I also know I haven’t done a wrap-up in forever, so this will let you all know what I have actually finished reading. So what is WWW Wednesday? It is a weekly feature hosted by Taking on a World of Words in which we answer three questions:

1. What Have You Recently Finished Reading?

2. What are You Currently Reading?

3. What Do You Plan on Reading Next?

Recently Finished

Faking It by Cora Carmack

Faking It

This is the only book I have finished this week, I have finished 3 other audiobooks in the last week, but I didn’t want to stretch. I thought it was an okay story and I might have liked it more with different narrators, but it was just too quick of an attraction for me! So this was a 3.4 out of 5 stars for me because I did appreciate the message near the ending.

Currently Reading

1. Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer

Wolfsbane

This is my audiobook reread of the week and I am really enjoying the revisit of my reread. I think I am enjoying it more this second time!

2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

I’ve been reading this between assignments to give my brain a break. I have been highlighting and loving the small things I find in this reread.

3. This One Summer by Mariko Tamaki, Jillian Tamaki (Illustrator)

This One Summer

I noticed this was on Scribd, so I thought I would read this tonight because it’s a light read and I’ve wanted to read it forever, so I jumped on it!

What’s Next?

1. The Wolf Wilder by Katherine Rundell

The Wolf Wilder

I had to put this one down for a bit but I want to get back to it because I really want it to have a happy ending and review it for December!

2. Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen

Alias Hook

I am on my last renewal for this one, so I really want to try and finish it before Tuesday wish me luck!

3. Tease by Sophie Jordan

Tease

Honestly I don’t care for the narrator, but I want to finish the series and I don’t have much time to read print lately.. I am hoping the read is worth it.

4. A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

A Great and Terrible Beauty

This is the credit I used for November so I will try to get to it by the end of the weak! I am excited to start something by this author and maybe it will push me into reading The Diviners!

Well bookworms that is it for tonight and I finished it while it’s still Wednesday. Have you read any of these? What were your feelings or favorites? Link me your WWW Wednesday and let me know in the comments! Happy reading and to my US readers have a fun and happy Thanksgiving!

WWW Wednesday 5/20/15

Hey bookworms! Sorry another late post, but had a loooooooooooong day today! I am so ready to sleep in tomorrow to make up for it. So if you saw my last post you know I am participating in RYBSAT, so I just wanted to let you know what I’ve read so far this week, the books I’m currently reading, and what I plan on reading next on my TBR for this readathon. WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words where bloggers are asked three Questions to be answered:

1. What are you currently reading?

2. What did you recently finish reading?

3. What do you plan on reading next?

So here are my answers!

 Currently Reading

 1. Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan

Unspoken

I am on page 193 so I have 154 pages to go! This book is the first to make me laugh out loud in a while and I am devouring it.

2. Behind the Scenes by Dahlia Adler

Behind the Scenes

Reminding me what I don’t like about contemporary, but I am really trying to push through it because the premise of book 2 sounds so much more of my type of contemporary

3. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

Daughter of Smoke and Bone

Started listening to this audio book on the bus and I’m on chapter 6. Again formatting issue, but I love the narrator and characters so I will push through!

4. The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket

The Bad Beginning

I plan to get 50 pages done of this tonight at least before I turn off my computer. I just want to read it!

Recently Finished

1. Inkheart by Cornelia Funke

Inkheart

Finishing this book reminded me of everything I loved and cherished the first time around. Loved the narrator and all the story! I would give it a million stars if I could! Next book I will be reading the hard cover though the narrator isn’t my cup of tea for that one

What I Plan on Reading Next

1. A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

A Game of Thrones

2. Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Wicked

3. Loki’s Wolves by Kelley Armstrong and Melissa Marr

Loki's Wolves

Well bookworms that is where I am at so far in this readathon! I did not beat the clock on this post because of technical issues, but I started it on Wednesday, so I am counting it! Let me know what your currently reading or plan to read next in the comments. As you know I love to talk. Happy reading! Another post will be up soon.

WWW Wednesday: 5/6/15

Hey Bookworms! I hope your week is going well! I had my last week of on campus classes this week and it was bitter sweet. I really enjoyed my classes this semester and my classmates! I really felt like I got the most out of the discussions. Now all that is left is my 2 finals online! One this week and one next. I’m nervous, but blogging eases some of it. So to ease my stress today I have another WWW Wednesday post! This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words where bloggers get to share what they are reading by answering the three W’s:

1. What are you currently reading?

2. What did you recently finish reading?

3. What do you plan on reading next?

Well bookworms this week I plan on only answering the first 2 questions because I plan on posting on my Bout of Books goals/TBR on Friday or Saturday, so I don’t want to plan what I am reading next until then. So here are my answers to the first two questions! As always the links to the goodreads and sites are in the titles =)

Currently Reading

1. The Heir by Kiera Cass

The Heir

I started late on Tuesday and I am enjoying it, but having some issues on hints in the book and the attitude of the princess. I am just hoping she matures in character development as I keep writing. I really do like Kiera Cass’s writing and her as a person. I really want to give this book a good rating and I really want to love it! I will say it is not disappointing in the fashion department!

2. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

Cruel Beauty

I got to listen to 7 chapters today, so I am now on chapter 9! I really am getting more pulled into this story, and I plan to listen to more of it tonight before bed. Again I really recommend this audio book because this narrator’s voice is beautiful and fitting for this story!

3. The Time Travelers Volume One by Caroline B. Cooney

Time Travelers

Haven’t touched this since last week, but I really want to push through and finish it by this weekend!

4. The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket

The Bad Beginning

I’ve been avoiding the internet besides the school site, so I haven’t been able to finish this one either. I hope to finish this soon as well!

Recently Finished

1. Out of Time by Jen McLaughlin

Out of Time

I really liked this one and plan to work on a review for this next! It was a good read and a 4 out of 5 stars for me and was a quick read!

So bookworms that is what I’ve been reading! What have you been reading? Are you participating in Bout of Books? If so feel free to tweet me during, so we can cheer each other on! Feel free to link me your WWW Wednesday if you did one or your Bout of books goals if you have yours up. If you are struggling through finals like I am, I feel your pain and we can get through this! Happy reading bookworms!

WWW Wednesday: 4/29/15

Hey bookworms! I decided to do the weekly meme of WWW Wednesday hosted by: Taking on a World of Words! This is a weekly meme where book bloggers answer three W questions. What are the three W’s? I’ll list them before jumping right into it.

1. What are you currently reading?

2. What did you recently finish reading?

3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

(Going from Oldest to most Recently Started)

1. The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket

The Bad Beginning

This is an old series that at the age I started at was a bit too dark for me to like. When I was younger I admit I liked the lighter fluffier stuff. Now that I’m 23 I feel my itch to finish what I started. They are short reads, so I plan to try and finish this book today or tomorrow on Scribd.

2. New X-Men Book 1 by Grant Morrison (Text), Ethan Van Sciver, Frank Quitely, Leinil Francis Yu (Illustrations)

New X-Men Book 1

As I said in my March Wrap-up I want to give all versions of X-Men a chance. Again I find myself favoring the movie franchise since the artwork isn’t my cup of tea. I am also reading this on scribd and I really want to give these a chance. Just taking a bit to distance myself from what I grew up on.

3. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

Cruel Beauty

This is my most recent on my Audio book kick and I do not regret it! The narrator is pure perfection for this story and I could listen to her voice all day. Audio books are something I listen to on the bus and before class. So I am not too far, but I am definitely sucked in!

4. The Time Travelers Volume One by Caroline B Cooney

Time Travelers

This is another childhood reread. One series I didn’t get to finish because I didn’t know the Volume 2 was ever released. I was browsing my nook one day and saw that both volumes 1 and 2 were on there. It really bothers me not to finish a series unless I hated the first book, so out of duty and curiosity I really want to see the end of it! I am only 30 pages in, but it is as cute as I remember.

5.Disney by Rees Quinn

Disney

This was a biography I bought on bookbub a few days ago. I was bored in class today, so I clicked it out of curiosity. I am a Disney girl through and through. It is only a bit over 100 pages, so I think I will finish it either tonight or tomorrow.

What I Recently Finished Reading

(I won’t go too much into this one since I will post my April Wrap-up on Friday or Saturday)

1. Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz

Blue Bloods book one

What I Want to Read Next

1. Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan

Unspoken

This was the book I got in my personalized Uppercase subscription which I promise to blog about soon, but I have wanted to read this book probably since it’s release, so I was very excited to get it!

2. Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour

Everything Leads to You

Another book I’ve wanted to read for a long while! It is on my Nook TBR shelf I created, so I want to read it asap (and hopefully do a review)!

3. Masquerade by Melissa de la Cruz

Masquerade

I’ve decided to reread through this series wanting the comfort of something I enjoyed in High School, so I will be tackling the second book soon. I never noticed but this cover is a little creepy…

4. The Heir by Kiera Cass

The Heir

This comes out on Tuesday and needless to say no matter what I’m reading when it comes out. I will drop it to devour this! I am beyond excited!!!!

So bookworms that is my WWW Wednesday! I hope you enjoyed reading it. Have you read any of these? Do you find yourself drawn back to books you read in high school?  Well that is all the blogging I can do tonight my right hand is being a hassle today… Have a good night guys and happy reading! Feel free to comment because I can still use my left hand to reply on my phone =)
