Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Magnets for Me to Pick up A Book

T10 2

Hey Bookworms! I know it’s been forever again it’s the same excuse as always, I’m horrible at balancing work and blogging sometimes even a personal life… But I’m not ready to give up blogging yet! I still want to post as much as I can and eventually maybe I will learn the balance. Have a posting schedule? But anywho onto the topic at hand. It’s time for a belated Top Ten Tuesday post for those of you that don’t know this weekly theme was created by The Broke and The Bookish, in which they give us a topic or question and we come up with our top bookish answers. I am going to do last week’s topic. Top Ten things that makes me grab a book and crack it open. So let’s get started!

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Magnets for Me to Pick up A Book

1. Anything with Wolves or Werewolves

Here are a few of the ones that have grabbed me, and most are my favorites. The first is on the top of the TBR at the moment!

2. Royals

Maybe I am a little cliche, with the every little girl being obsessed with being a princess, but I always have been obsessed with the ins and outs of royalty and how and why it works. The power, the betrayal, the love, and hell even the lust in some of these. I’m only human, right? ;P

3.  Fairies

The world and my library obviously need more of these books. Please leave me suggestions if you know any more books with these mythical creatures please leave me comments before.

4. Mythology

Anything with a god or a goddess will immediately perk my interest another instance where I need more recommendations. Help a girl in a reading slump out please.

5. A Female/Female Romance to Make Me Swoon

Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst is still on my TBR so please no spoilers please. I wish I would’ve found more of these when I was younger it would have saved my heart and conscious more pain and worry than I can say. I am glad they are here for younger readers though now.

6. Twins or Triplets

I always felt that I was meant to be a twin… Or maybe I just desperately want to be one another subject I feel needs to be touched on more.

7. Magical Realism

The one thing I need more of in my life because it makes me feel like something more to life can happen.

8. Female Friendships

Because I hope and want these kind of relationships in my life and I feel like other girls should do.

9. Reincarnation

I just dream that I’ve lived more than one life, and having characters that have or live in a world that have make me happy

10.  Peter Pan Retellings

I need more of these and I haven’t gotten to read Alias Hook yet but it is on my TBR. Honestly I love these retellings because it’s been my favorite book and movie forever. These are the ones I will constantly gravitate to.

Anywho bookworms that’s it for today! What books do you gravitate towards. What are the words, themes, genres, subjects that make you grab or crave a book? Let me know down below maybe we could come up with suggestions for each other. Keep me company at work with your ideas because when this post goes up I will either be getting ready for work or there already. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week. I miss you all and happy reading!

WWW Wednesday: The Books That Have Kept Me Company in my Slumpy Mood…

WWW Wednesday

Hey bookworms! I know this is a late-ish post, but I just finished an assignment a bit ago and felt I could use some fun. I also know I haven’t done a wrap-up in forever, so this will let you all know what I have actually finished reading. So what is WWW Wednesday? It is a weekly feature hosted by Taking on a World of Words in which we answer three questions:

1. What Have You Recently Finished Reading?

2. What are You Currently Reading?

3. What Do You Plan on Reading Next?

Recently Finished

Faking It by Cora Carmack

Faking It

This is the only book I have finished this week, I have finished 3 other audiobooks in the last week, but I didn’t want to stretch. I thought it was an okay story and I might have liked it more with different narrators, but it was just too quick of an attraction for me! So this was a 3.4 out of 5 stars for me because I did appreciate the message near the ending.

Currently Reading

1. Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer

Wolfsbane

This is my audiobook reread of the week and I am really enjoying the revisit of my reread. I think I am enjoying it more this second time!

2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

I’ve been reading this between assignments to give my brain a break. I have been highlighting and loving the small things I find in this reread.

3. This One Summer by Mariko Tamaki, Jillian Tamaki (Illustrator)

This One Summer

I noticed this was on Scribd, so I thought I would read this tonight because it’s a light read and I’ve wanted to read it forever, so I jumped on it!

What’s Next?

1. The Wolf Wilder by Katherine Rundell

The Wolf Wilder

I had to put this one down for a bit but I want to get back to it because I really want it to have a happy ending and review it for December!

2. Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen

Alias Hook

I am on my last renewal for this one, so I really want to try and finish it before Tuesday wish me luck!

3. Tease by Sophie Jordan

Tease

Honestly I don’t care for the narrator, but I want to finish the series and I don’t have much time to read print lately.. I am hoping the read is worth it.

4. A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

A Great and Terrible Beauty

This is the credit I used for November so I will try to get to it by the end of the weak! I am excited to start something by this author and maybe it will push me into reading The Diviners!

Well bookworms that is it for tonight and I finished it while it’s still Wednesday. Have you read any of these? What were your feelings or favorites? Link me your WWW Wednesday and let me know in the comments! Happy reading and to my US readers have a fun and happy Thanksgiving!

30 Day Challenge Day 6: The Book that Made Me Feel the Feels

30 day reading challenge

Hey Bookworms! How does weekend go by so fast? I’m sad to say that I am not having the best day. Turned my phone on air plane mode and just gonna curl up under my covers and read after I post. So maybe it will help writing about a book that makes me sad.

Day 6: A Book that Makes me Sad

Bloodrose by Andrea Cremer

Bloodrose

Now this question was hard for me to answer because I don’t usually pick books that make me sad especially with how I feel now. If a book does make me sad it is not the entire books, but parts of it. Like the end or a part in the middle. For me books are an escape from the sad or hard parts in my life. They have been my shelter for as long as I can remember. My rocks my silent, yet rowdy friends. My home when I couldn’t find a place in my own home. Now that being said I am not usually one to cry the first time in movies, but books are different. I will sob when reading a book. With a movie I take time to asses the setting and effects, the acting and storyline, and my 3rd time around in a movie that’s when it hits me. A book I am the one using what the author has given me and creating it for myself. It is more real to me. Now I am giving you the book that made me cry, but not the part or the reason. For one it is the third book in this series and I don’t want to spoil anyone. I do get really attached to characters though that is the only hint I am giving! You will get more out of me with the next book I promise!

Well that is all bookworms! What book made you feel the feels? Do you like books that make you feel sad? Do you look for sad stories or do you like it better when they surprise you? Let me know your opinion on feeling the feels. I am really curious! Happy reading!

PS: If you’re curious here are days: 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5
