Hey Bookworms! It is finally time for my TBR! I have been thinking over it for a while because I didn’t read many of the books from My July TBR… So the title for this TBR will hopefully make up for it because I discovered I have become a more of a mood reader lately. I want to read one thing one minute and another the next! So my TBR isn’t going to be too ambitious because I start my last semester on the 24th. I know school will only take up the last week of August, but better safe than sorry. So any who, let’s get started and talk about the books that are on my mind now!
My August TBR
1. The Rest of The Princess Diaries Series by Meg Cabot
Hope you guys don’t mind the variety of covers! I am currently listening to Princess on the Brink and it already has me giggling. I am reading this series through my Scribd subscription which when on a book buying ban or a bad library is worth it! They don’t have Princess Mia and Forever Princess on audiobook though, so those will be read through the e-books. Finishing the last the Royal Wedding via audiobook once more and I can’t wait to see how all the characters will continue to grow.
2. The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows
I plan on starting and finishing this book this weekend. It is due next week, so I want to get it done this time!
3. Blue Moon by Alyson Noel
I know I know I have had this book on my last 2 tbrs! I will finish it by Friday though because that is when it is due! I am going to get back to reading it after this post.
4. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
Another book I plan on starting this one this weekend too because it’s due on the 18th. It is a little big, so the sooner I start it the quicker I can get it done because I can’t renew it because other people are waiting for it.
5. Hot Blooded by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie
Another book I’ve had on my TBR for a while, but I definitely need to read it soon! It is a library book and sadly it is not mine to take my time with…
6. Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
Another one I haven’t gotten to this summer, but I really want to try it! It is getting a lot of love this summer and I want to love it too!
7. Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck
I want to read Reawakened Houck’s new book when it comes out, but I want to get reacquainted with her writing. I also really miss Kishan! I want to travel through this book too.
8. Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares
I want to continue my reread of this series as a listen. I want to reconnect with these girls who I connect with.
9. Fire and Flood by Victoria Scott
I bought the e-book last month and I am very excited to read it. The premise has me very curious, but I hope it is fast paced!
10. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling
I’m hoping reading this will make my last semester of college less scary.. I mean if Harry faced Voldemort at 11; I can handle the “real” world right? I hope so…
11. Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
Honestly I am craving a reread and a strong female alpha, so I want to reread this. Plus it is one of my favorite series.
12. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
Another e-book I got on sale and I am super excited to continue this series! I adored the first book, so I cannot wait to see what happens next!
13.Thanks for the Memories by Cecelia Ahern
I am dying to continue on my Ahern kick! This is one of the audiobooks available through Scribd and I need more Ahern!
14. Broken by Kelley Armstrong
Another one that has been lingering on TBR too, but I know if I don’t get it done by the end of summer. It will have to wait until a break.
Well bookworms! That is some of the books I hope to read, but who knows if I will stick to it. My goal for the month as far as the number of books I want to read is 14. I’ve already read 3 books, so I think I can reach it! Have you read any of these? What is on your TBR? What is your monthly goal? Do rereads tear out your heart like they did the first time? Feel free to let me know in the comments! Happy Reading!

Hey Bookworms! Sorry I was missing yesterday, but my computer has been a bit of hassle. It is time to get a new one soon. I just wish I had the money to get one. Any who to make it up to you I will combine days 13 and 14 because they go together and then I will schedule 15 for tonight, so I won’t be too late! So let’s get to it! The links will lead to Author profiles and Goodreads pages for the books!
Day 13: Favorite Author(s)
Okay guys yes I am totally gonna cheat with this answer with 2 authors, and if you have been on my blog for a while you probably already know who I am going to say… You wouldn’t want me to lie to you guys would you? My goal is to be as honest on here as I can be after all. This is my outlet to be me. So my way of choosing and being positive of these two lovely Rock Stars (because that is what authors are to me) is having loved 3 or more of their books with a rating of 4 stars or higher. So with that *drumroll* My choices are:
Her world building I just bow to it. I try to learn something from this wonderful author each time I pick up her books. Her characters are always very strong and are easy to build attachments too. Some even swoon worthy *coughs* Nick and Clay. Not only that, but her books always take me somewhere new. Her characters are always my comfort and who I draw strength from. I feel feels with her characters, but when I am in a good mood and place I always root for them. Her books are always ones I recommend to people when I don’t know what to recommend.
With Cecelia Ahern she was my first step into something that wasn’t YA! Granted, I had watched the movie before reading the book, but seeing the differences made me love both all the more. She was also the first author that introduced magical realism to me and made me understand it! Which is more than my professor than have done. Her characters are real and relate-able. She makes you form bonds and care for them even after the book is over. I still wonder how Holly is and if she found love again. I wonder if Luke made a new best friend and if him and Elizabeth do more things to bond. I deeply care for each of these characters and it is because of the work she puts into them. She is my number one go to with Chick Lit which I rarely read, but hers are a comfort!
Day 15: Favorite Books by My Favorite Author
1. Bitten by Kelley Armstrong
I’ve raved about this series a lot, but it is a great first book to get you invested into a series. It also leads you into the character who ties most of these book together. Plus very yummy male characters to drool over. Then there is the wolf factor. This is my favorite so far, but it could change when I get further into the series… I can’t wait to have all the books!
2. PS I Love You by Cecelia Ahern
My first Ahern book and I think my first trip to Ireland! Well… Through reading that is. This book has you invest in every character. You live through each memory and feel each emotion with Holly. If you love the movie the book will show you the one scene they really needed to put in!
3. If You Could See Me Now by Cecelia Ahern
Honestly I wish I owned this book because it was adorable! It was beautiful and definitely strengthened my belief in love. It reminded you that you need to let go and be a kid! It is okay to see the world new and different. I just cannot explain well enough how good this story is. Just go pick it up you won’t regret it I promise!
Well Bookworms that is it for now! Yes I cheated in this post, but it is worth it to turn people onto these authors and books. These are the things that shape us and bond us after all. Hope you enjoyed this post and I’m sorry it’s a bit late. Who is your favorite author? What is your guidelines for having a favorite? Have you read anything by these authors? Let me know down below!
PS: If You didn’t see my 4th of July post here you go: Day 12
Hey Bookworms! I saw this tag on Monday and needed to do it! As you may or not know I am a little bit of gamer. Nintendo was also my first system and before my playstation I was more than happy with my Nintendo DS! As a bookworm I love stories whether they be in books, movies, shows, but at times games are my favorite. Especially Role-Play Games because I get to be a part of the story. Anywho this amazing tag was created by the lovely booktuber: Novels and Nonsense. I will also lead her video right here:
The Nintendo Book Tag
1) NES (Nintendo Entertainment System): A Classic you want to read
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
I want to read more classics but especially children ones they have a nostalgia and safety to them. Plus this is one I always seem to get half way through, but never finish. I really like it though just need to push!
2) SNES (Super Nintendo): A Sequel you liked more than the 1st (can be a 3rd book in a series)
Princess in the Spotlight by Meg Cabot
Mia really came more into her own a bit more in this book. She wasn’t the most confident still, but I feel the characters were a bit more defined in this book!
3) Nintendo 64: A book that revolutionized the way you look at the world
The Host by Stephenie Meyer
I gushed about this book in my Day 2 of my challenge post. Essentially it reminded me that some people are able to see the person.
4) Gamecube: A popular book that did not go over so well with you
The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
Please don’t throw things at me, but this series was okay… I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it. Honestly I only read it so I would be able to watch the movies with less guilt.
5) Wii: A new favorite book
Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
Honestly this is my favorite Beauty and the Beast retelling ever. With a Beauty who isn’t 100% good. She is selfish and pursues her needs and wants as well. This book and setting was amazing to me, and the narrator’s voice for the audio book was perfection to listen to.
6) Nintendo Power: Favorite Graphic novel series or a series you want to start
Saga by Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples
Hands down right now it is Saga although the 4th book wasn’t my favorite due to some cliches this is an amazing series! The art is so well done and for me that is high praise because I am picky with the art style! This series is for mature audiences so if you’re not of the right age or sex scenes make you uncomfortable it may not be for you, if you are and haven’t read it… Go to the bookstore this instant!!!
7) Super Mario: A Character that you’d love to squish like a Goomba
Xavier Van Romerius from Finding My Prince by J.S. Cooper
Now this question was especially hard because characters I usually don’t like either change or are the bad guys. Which hopefully by the end of the series the main character kills them. Then I thought about the one book I DNFed this year. I couldn’t even get through the first 50 pages of this very short book. The love interest turned my stomach and frankly made me want to punch him in the face. Needless to say I promptly deleted it off my nook. I probably wont buy anything by the author again and i am also sick of perfect looking characters who think it gives them the right to act like an arrogant jerk.
8) Zelda: A newer fantasy that you consider to be a modern classic
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
Now I know a lot of people may go with this answer, but I haven’t finished reading any “new” fantasy lately. Most of the fantasy books I like are older. Game of thrones has a very diverse way of letting a reader see every side of a story and it does not hide the good the bad or the ugly. Even this one is a bit old.
9) Samas-Aran: Favorite Sci-fi novel or one you want to read
Zodiac by Romina Russel
The only sci-fi I have read recently or truly know. The book I am currently reading could count, but since I am unsure I am going with Zodiac. I love anything having to do with Birth signs and them all living on different planets made it even better. Now I was a little spoiled, so it wasn’t as amazing as it could be but it was still really good! I cannot wait for book two!
10) Pokemon: Book editions that you want to collect
Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
One of my favorite fairy-tales and I would love to have every edition especially in HARD COVER!!
11) Donkey Kong: A book with original characters
Bitten by Kelley Armstrong
Any book in this series and I haven’t even read them all. Kelley Armstrong creates amazing and strong characters especially females! I can’t wait to get to know them all.
12) Nintendo Fandom: Favorite Nintendo game(s) or game you really want
1. I love all the Pokemon Games, but I want to try the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon
2.What Few People know though is I have a series I hold closer to my heart who’s story line has made me feel all the feels! That is the Fire Emblem series and I am super excited for the newest one to come out Fire Emblem Fates! 2016 seems too far away!
Well that is all for this tag bookworms! I hope you enjoyed my answers! What are your favorites of these books or games? Have you read or played them? What are your thoughts on my choices? Do you have any sci-fi recommendations for me? What are your favorite RPG’s? I’m always looking for more. Let me know in the comments. Happy reading and playing!
PS: If you are looking for another tag to do there is always my Original Book BFF Tag ^_^

Hey bookworms! So tonight I will be posting a few posts tonight, hope it isn’t too much! Posting is the only thing keeping me sane right now… Anywho this post will be about me participating in the Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-A-Thon! I know I tried to do this before, but it didn’t exactly go smoothly because we had unexpected construction on our shower. So here I go again! For those of you who don’t know what this read-a-thon is: it is an international read-a-thon that takes place twice a year (if you need more info I will link it here). The start times depend on your time zones. My start time is 5 am! Sooo early! I am up for it though, and being as active as possible as I can with a sister having a fractured fibula. I want to participate in twitter and knock out some of the books I have been reading for months because of school. I finished my biggest project and my latest test isn’t posted until next week, so I have free time this weekend and I am hoping I’m not too late to sign up because I’ve had a very busy/hard past few weeks (I will participate unofficially). So here is what I will be reading!
1. One Day by David Nicholls
So since my time start is a little early for me I figured I’d start with an audio book! Audiobooks have been a thing with me lately and although I like the narrator the formatting of this book isn’t the best because it is formatted by tracks not chapters, so it is slower and longer than it should be.
2. Bitten by Kelley Armstrong
This is a reread because I am watching the show and slowly working my way through the series, but the show is different in who they kept alive, so to remind myself a reread is necessary with a long series, but it has me giggling and laughing. I am half way through it now, so I plan to finish it tomorrow.
3. Pivot Point by Kasie West
This is another book I am half-way through and a gift from my book buddy The Paige-Turner, now because this is a paper back I tend to read them when I have the time because of my hands sweating and I don’t want to wear at them too much.
4. The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket
If I don’t get tempted to finish this tonight this is what I will finish the day off with. I just have had a craving to give this series another shot.
So bookworms that is my TBR for this read-a-thon, and I may add more to this! I want to participate in more read-a-thon’s over the summer, so if you know any I would appreciate it so much if you shared them. Books I think will help with everything I am going through lately. I wish all of you who are participating in this the best of luck! Tweet me and I will cheer you on as well! My twitter is: @CKReads! Happy reading bookworms! I hope you all have a good reading nevertheless! Let me know if you’ve read any of these or comment twitter! I am always looking for more reading buddies!
