Book Talk: One of the Most Major Bookworm Problems You can Have!

fbook talk

Hey Bookworms! See I am getting better at this, or I am trying to. Also it also helps when bookworm problems hit, so it gives me inspiration to write and see if anybody else has had these problems, or was unaware that this was a thing. So lets gets started and hopefully I can get this posted and it sounds okay.

Book Talk: My Major Bookworm Problem of Last Week…

It’s okay guys! The problem is fixed now as of about an hour ago, but I didn’t even know that it could happen.  As someone who has depended on this resource since the moment that she found this resource close enough to her. It kind of let me lost a week without it… Okay no more suspense or my attempt of leaving you in suspense. (Again I am rusty and try to find my voice in writing again.)

I was a week without my library card!! Dun dun dun! Why, you ask? Did I lose it? Nope… It expired?! When did this become a thing??!?! At first I thought it was an error with the app as I closed it and opened it again. It said the same thing! So of course I googled it, because I couldn’t call the library at 3:30 in the morning when I am getting ready for work. It is a thing and you have to physically go to the library and give them your ID to prove you still live at your same address.

I wanted to cry at the thought of not being able to renew my audiobooks. It is the one thing that helps wakes me up in the morning, distracts me on my long bus rides, and pretty much the only thing that gives me time to read as well as saves me money. Well my library card and the fact that I’ve been too lay to enter my new debit card details in my nook payment section XD Well it is now fixed, and I have new things to read! So now I am happy!

My question to you bookworms is did you know this is a thing? What do you think qualifies as a major bookworm problem? As a bookworm let me know what you couldn’t live a week without. Let me know in the comments below. I hope you have an awesome week and Happy Reading!

Top Ten Tuesday: Gimme, Show Me, Write More of These Please!

Hey bookworms! I hope this Tuesday finds you well. Meanwhile I am writing this on Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday and doing this in advance, although this is a past topic since I haven’t done one in forever. This topic … Continue reading

Weekend Plans: From Watching to Reading

Hey bookworms! We haven’t talked in a bit, so I thought why not give you guys my plans for the weekend. No adventures out for me though because work forgot to include P (pay) in PTO. They plan to pay me on this check, but it ruins all the plans I had set. I am already eager to go back to Vancouver, 3.5 days was not enough.

I still want to go to Vancouver Island, go whale watching, maybe see the orchestra, go to the museum. Get a better place to stay next time for sure. My back is still aching from the beds. I didn’t take many pictures… I am the worst at that… I like to consider myself a live in the moment kind of girl. Commit to memory rather than pause to get the perfect shot if that makes sense?

Hopefully I have more to tell and show you next time, but know I was happy and content with my trip.

Watching

Anne with an E

Anne-with-an-E.jpg

I am currently binging this on Netflix and loving it! It makes me want to explore the setting even more than before. The cast of children really bring the characters to life and it makes me want to continue reading the books. It is an amazing series! Can’t wait for season 2!

As for tomorrow I plan to have a movie day planned

A Lot Like Love

a-lot-like-love-movie-poster

Tomorrow is going to be a mushy day except for one movie on the list if you can’t tell and I love the friendship this movie starts out with and I think it is exactly what I need.

One Day

One Day Film Poster

Honestly one of my favorite movies and love stories and to me one of the most realistic (also one of my favorite books). When life gets a little rough it is one of the things that makes it easier is watching this.

Porco Rosso

Porco Rosso.jpg

An adorable lesser known Studio Ghibli film. It is cute and funny definitely lift your spirits in a good way kind of movie if you’re needing a smile. Yes, I suck at summaries and honestly haven’t seen it in years XD

and end my night with

Lady and the Tramp

What better way to get ready for a work week than to end your weekend with a disney classic? Always will be one of my favorites and it is one of the best love stories in history. At least in my opinion…

What I’ll be Reading

Perfect by Cecelia Ahern

Perfect

My current audio book listen and I’m only a few minutes in so I don’t have thoughts yet, but I was really inspired by the first one. Needless to say I have high hopes for the sequel and I may be a bit biased because she is one of my favorite authors.

Moon Chosen by P.C. Cast

Moon Chosen

I haven’t picked it up since before I left on my trip, but I feel it is a good time to pick it back up and I feel like it will keep me from getting lost in my own thoughts.

The Complete Tales of Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne

The Complete Tales of Winnie the Pooh.jpg

Because I think everyone should read children’s classics no matter how old they are. They can hold more more truth than that of adult fiction. I think I will read a few tales and see what I can learn..

Well bookworms I think that is all that is on my agenda this weekend and maybe an ebook if I decide to turn on my nook tonight. What is on your holiday weekend agenda? Any great books or movies? Let me know in the comments and I hope you all have fun! Happy Reading!

September Haul: Books, Movies, and More

Hey bookworms! I promise I will learn the swing of work and blogging soon. It’s just hard to be on the computer on my weekends, when that is what I do all day for work. Good news is I plan on getting glasses soon, so that  should make being on it for work and home easier.

But anywho I thought it would be fun to show one of the benefits of having a job. Which is treating myself to stuff like my addictions every once in a while. So here is what I treated myself to in September!

September Haul

The Books:

Saga Volume 6 by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples

Citrus Volume 5 by Saburo Uto

The Fangirl Life: A Guide to All the Feels and Learning How to Deal by Kathleen Smith

the-fangirl-life

There is an interesting story with these first three… Well not funny exactly I originally ordered copies of these in March, but they were shipped to my old address and never got forwarded… I hope who ever is living there is enjoying the books, so I had a coupon and decided to get them all over again. I am sure they are worth it though.

Twilight of Avalon by Anna Elliot

The Isle of the Lost by Melissa De La Cruz

The Game of Love and Death by Martha Brockenbrough

The Movies:

If you’re curious about this movie I did do a review on this movie which I gushed for… Here

Laws of Attraction

Ramen Girl

So if you haven’t figured it out I have a movie addiction on top of these movies I also bought a movie binder that holds 400 DVDs… Yeah I was a little bad, but most excluding the first were $10 and under! So no regrets… For now XD

&More:

Lastly I bought this adorable and super soft Umbreon pillow pet at the Tokyo Discount store near my house. He is one of my favorite eeveelutions and I couldn’t resist buying him. Now if only they had an Espeon then I would have my favorite Pokemon Ship. May they will one day.

I’m doing good at savings, but sometimes when I’ve had a hard day at work small things such as books or movies on sale makes it a little better. Working at a call center isn’t easy as a first job, but it is teaching me skills I can carry to a job I feel passionate about. There are rough days, but there are also days where I really like my job. It is a stepping stone to what and where I want to be in life.

Have you read or watched any of these? What is your favorite pokemon? What do you indulge in when you’re feeling stressed. Let me know! I miss you all and now I am off to schedule some more posts for you all! Happy Reading and Watching!

Movie Monday: The Boy and the Beast Mini Review

Life Update and Weekly Reads

Hey Bookworms! Miss me??? I know I’ve been MIA, but I’m still adjusting to the working world… Honestly my days off aren’t used for much more other than sleep and maybe a trip to the grocery store. I’m hoping I’ll have more energy this week though because my schedule got changed to 8-5 pm Tuesday-Saturday, but long story short I get more sleep and I don’t have to wake up at 3 am to get ready for work. I can’t tell you where I’m working, but it is a call center job and most days besides the cranky callers I love helping people.

As for other stuff although having a job is a good thing it may mean longer to save for my own place because I will have to pay for medical insurance now… Which also means adding to how long it takes for Grad School. Every day is still a bit of a struggle for me but I’m trying to take it day by day and week by week and trying to see some bright spots.

Like I’ve made a new friend who lives close to me and I love that she’s bookish! I can pile books on her bit by bit.

But anywho lets get on to the books. Since I probably won’t get to do a Friday Reads with my schedule the way it is for a few weeks. I decided to do a Weekly Reads, so I can still share with you all what I’m trying to read this week. So let’s get started!

Weekly Reads

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, Jack Thorne

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

This is slow reading for me because my post office held it hostage for 2 days, so I’m reading it in between resting, and I plan to read it on my lunch hour too. No spoilers please because I’m only on page 80ish.

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray

A Thousand Pieces of You

This will be my audiobook listen for the bus for the first half of the week. I’m enjoying the concept so far, but very few books have left a mark on me this year with my mood, so we’ll see most books have earned a 3.5 (aka a 4 stars on Goodreads from me) I am glad I am reading it after the hype though

Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge

Crimson Bound

This will be my other audiobook. I do have high hopes for it since Cruel Beauty was my favorite of last year. Hey I can hope!

Well that’s all for now Bookworms! It is time for me to head to bed although I am a little nervous for tomorrow since it’s our first day without our wonderful mentors. I am just taking this week day by day and doing my best to help each person. Anywho have you read any of these books? What were your thoughts? Any tips for how to blog around working? Let me know in the comments down below. I need all the help I can get please! Happy Reading!
