Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Magnets for Me to Pick up A Book

T10 2

Hey Bookworms! I know it’s been forever again it’s the same excuse as always, I’m horrible at balancing work and blogging sometimes even a personal life… But I’m not ready to give up blogging yet! I still want to post as much as I can and eventually maybe I will learn the balance. Have a posting schedule? But anywho onto the topic at hand. It’s time for a belated Top Ten Tuesday post for those of you that don’t know this weekly theme was created by The Broke and The Bookish, in which they give us a topic or question and we come up with our top bookish answers. I am going to do last week’s topic. Top Ten things that makes me grab a book and crack it open. So let’s get started!

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Magnets for Me to Pick up A Book

1. Anything with Wolves or Werewolves

Here are a few of the ones that have grabbed me, and most are my favorites. The first is on the top of the TBR at the moment!

2. Royals

Maybe I am a little cliche, with the every little girl being obsessed with being a princess, but I always have been obsessed with the ins and outs of royalty and how and why it works. The power, the betrayal, the love, and hell even the lust in some of these. I’m only human, right? ;P

3.  Fairies

The world and my library obviously need more of these books. Please leave me suggestions if you know any more books with these mythical creatures please leave me comments before.

4. Mythology

Anything with a god or a goddess will immediately perk my interest another instance where I need more recommendations. Help a girl in a reading slump out please.

5. A Female/Female Romance to Make Me Swoon

Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst is still on my TBR so please no spoilers please. I wish I would’ve found more of these when I was younger it would have saved my heart and conscious more pain and worry than I can say. I am glad they are here for younger readers though now.

6. Twins or Triplets

I always felt that I was meant to be a twin… Or maybe I just desperately want to be one another subject I feel needs to be touched on more.

7. Magical Realism

The one thing I need more of in my life because it makes me feel like something more to life can happen.

8. Female Friendships

Because I hope and want these kind of relationships in my life and I feel like other girls should do.

9. Reincarnation

I just dream that I’ve lived more than one life, and having characters that have or live in a world that have make me happy

10.  Peter Pan Retellings

I need more of these and I haven’t gotten to read Alias Hook yet but it is on my TBR. Honestly I love these retellings because it’s been my favorite book and movie forever. These are the ones I will constantly gravitate to.

Anywho bookworms that’s it for today! What books do you gravitate towards. What are the words, themes, genres, subjects that make you grab or crave a book? Let me know down below maybe we could come up with suggestions for each other. Keep me company at work with your ideas because when this post goes up I will either be getting ready for work or there already. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week. I miss you all and happy reading!

Book Retrospection: Once Upon a Time: Red’s Untold Tale by Wendy Toliver (My 1st ARC Review)

Red's Untold Tale

Once Upon a Time: Red’s Untold Tale by Wendy Toliver

Publisher: Kingswell

Publishing Date: 6 October 2015

Format: Digital ARC Copy Received From Netgalley

Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

Opening Thoughts:

Hey bookworms! I finally did it! I got an ARC to review off of Netgalley! To make it even better it is based off of one of my biggest obsessions Once Upon a Time! I was more than excited to review this, but a little anxious as well because I’ve never reviewed an ARC before. That being said there will be as spoiler free as possible I say that because you can never truly be too careful. So I hope you enjoy and that my review makes sense. My review will start with what I enjoyed and then onto what threw me off when reading it that led to a 4 star review.

Reasons I Couldn’t Put it Down

  1. Satisfied a Craving: So going into this book I was more than excited to start especially because the show has been on hiatus. So this filled my craving for the show without needing to binge watch the show. Plus you get a peek into Ruby’s life at a younger age and seeing the bond between her and Granny in a whole new light!
  2. Characters Who Leapt from the Pages:The characters in this book were very strong and very well developed from Red to the little boy who begs her for cookies.
  3. Transported Me With Its World: Another strong point in this book was seeing into the story book world without it being Snow, Regina’s, castle. This book shows the life that makes this heroine what spurs her on for adventure. It helped me escape the stress of city life at school and transported me to not only a different time but a different place. I could practically smell the trees.
  4. Mystery and Magic: From the wolves, to Red’s Cloak, to the Wizard she found who was my favorite character. I loved the way it kept me turning the pages to find out more.
  5.  Anyone Can Enjoy It: Last but not least I liked the fact that you don’t have to be a Oncer fan to enjoy. You could simply be looking for a retelling on Red Riding Hood and still enjoy this book! Honestly when I have the money I am supporting this book by getting my own digital copy as well as the paper copy!

Things that Threw Me Off

Now I will admit I am not sure if I had issues with some of these things because it was an ARC copy and how it was formatted, so my thoughts may change when I get a real copy, so they aren’t major negative things.

  1. Point of View: So I wasn’t expecting it and it threw me off. This being a Once Upon a Time book I was hoping for more of a story telling narrative, but it was a first person narrative. It was a little jarring at first, but near the end I feel it was needed
  2. Dreams and Memories and Current Day Dates: I feel I can link this together quite easily because they all had the same effect of the story. They threw me out of it abruptly or disturbed the flow. There wasn’t really a break between the dreams and the memories when coming back to Red’s current world at times because they would just make an immediate slip back into the present. That being said her days that had dates came out of nowhere at times within the chapters. They were not chapters themselves but were in the chapters themselves which was confusing at times especially when I was torn between reading and sleeping. If they flowed better I would’ve gladly stayed awake to finish it off. That being said as I claimed above it could have just been the formatting of reading an ARC.

Wrapping It Up

Well bookworms I was glad to have started this as my first ARC. It was a content I already knew I loved and when not getting distracted by the issues above it went by quite fast. This book is more aimed at the younger audience but any age can truly enjoy this. If you’re curious about it but haven’t watched the show you can pick it up because there were no spoilers to the Once plots. That being said that’s it for now? Do you watch Once Upon A Time? Who is your favorite character? Which is your favorite fairytale? Did I convince you to pick it up? What was your first ARC you reviewed? Let me know down below and I’m always up for constructive Criticism! Happy Reading!

September TBR: The Books I Want to Try to Sneak in Between the Piles of Homework

September TBR

Hey bookworms! It’s me again! I thought since I got my wrap-up last night I thought I would let you all in on the books I am going to try to read in September. Now with me in my last semester of University (bf just thought: a school bus would make the time of year more recognizable to readers plus it made an awesome banner) I know I probably won’t have much time to leisure read… So that being said, my overall goal is 8-12 books, but not pressuring myself much because school is enough pressure. Plus I also have already read 3 books over this long weekend! That being said here is what I hope to get to or at least the ones that are currently on my mind..

September TBR

1. Hot Blooded by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie

Hot Blooded

I am currently reading this and plan to get back to it when I finish this blog post! Only in the first few pages, but these authors do a good job of pulling you back in!

2. The Jewel by Amy Ewing

The Jewel

Library book I finally got my turn for but it is due in 6 days, so will be one of the ones I have to hurry to finish!

3. Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen

Alias Hook

After reading Tiger Lily I was craving another retelling, so I picked this up on Thursday from the library. I hope this is a good one because I’ve been wanting to read it since I first started blogging.

4. Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck

Tiger's Curse

Current reread and hope to finish tonight or tomorrow. Tuesday at latest.

5. Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

Howl's Moving Castle

My favorite book and movie. This will be a reread for me but a first read for Paige as we plan to start this at the same time to see if she likes it enough for the 2nd book to be worth it for our twist on a Traveling Book. We’ve tried emailing during a buddy read, but school can get in the way, so with our traveling book starting the book with one of us and then sending it to the other before sending it back to the original. We can share our thoughts and make the read a mini book club between the 2 of us.

6. Sisterhood Everlasting by Ann Brashares

Sisterhood Everlasting

I plan to finish my reread of the series with an audiobook of this which I play to listen to in a bit before bed. Hopefully listening won’t hit me too hard with the feels.

8. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Vol 6 by Naoko Takeuchi, William Flanagan (Translator)

Sailor Moon Vol 6

As I mentioned in my Wrap-Up I am reading the rest of the series from the library, so of course the next two make it on my list. =)

9. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Vol 7 by Naoko Takeuchi, William Flanagan (Translator)

Sailor Moon Vol 7

11. Red’s Untold Tale by Wendy Toliver

Red's Untold Tale

I almost forgot this one! I received a digital ARC of this from Netgalley. It is downloaded on the Kindle App I installed on my nook. It releases on the 22nd, so I want to try and have it read by next Friday and a review up on that Saturday. Well wish me luck on this one! Red is one of my favorite characters, so I’m really hoping that I love it!

Well, bookworms, those are the books that are currently sitting on my mind. Now these do not include readathons I plan to join just the ones that are calling to me right now. So have you read any of these? What are you feelings on them? What are your goals for reading? Feel free to let me know in the comments! Happy reading!

My Last READATHON of Summer: #BoutofBooks 14 TBR and Goals

BoB14-200x200

Hey bookworms! Hope your weekend went well! Sorry I haven’t been active these last few days… I have been running into issues with school and finding out all these issues has been from the internet. So hence my avoiding my computer… Figures my last semester of my undergrad that I tried so hard to make run smoothly did the opposite. On that note I was looking for something fun to cheer me up! Now what is fun for a book blogger? A Readathon of course! I had been looking for one for August and stumbled across it when I saw a TBR for it on youtube. I have done the Bout of Books before, and had lots of fun before, so why not give it another go! If you don’t know what Bout of Books is:

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 17th and runs through Sunday, August 23th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 14 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

Now that I’ve given you the neccessary info, so you can join the fun! Let’s decide what my goals and books to read will be because this is totally last minute! *blushes slightly*

Bout of Books Goals

So goals! Something I have never been the best at keeping! Let’s face it I set goals and then get distracted from them easily… I figured though setting goals will get me back in the school set of mind because I am going to try to be better at time management my last semester! So that being said I will have a goal of 5 books AND keeping track daily of how many pages I read daily. That is not going to include the audiobooks because the ones I do listen to most of them I do not have physical copies of. I will list the number of chapters listened to though! So what will I try to read this week? I will list a few that are on my mind now:

 Tentative TBR

1. Thanks for the Memories by Cecelia Ahern

Thanks for the Memories

I am close to the end of this book, so if I don’t finish it tonight I want to finish it tonight. I definitely want to finish it by Monday!

2. Princess Mia by Meg Cabot

Princess Mia

I have 80ish pages left and since it is almost Midnight this will probably be the first book I finish. I can really relate to Mia in this one, so I can already guess that I will probably give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

3. Forever Princess by Meg Cabot

Forever Princess

I am almost finished reading Princess Mia, so why not add this one onto my TBR. Thank god I found Scribd. I really recommend this site to bookworms on a budget. No I am not paid to promote them. I just post about them a lot because I wish I would’ve found them sooner, and hopefully I will help another bookworm do so!

4. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

The Wrath and The Dawn

Another library book due this week! I need to finish this by Friday, so I know this will be the one I for sure finish during this readathon!

5. Vampire Game Vol 1 by Judal

Vampire Game Vol 1

Gotta have a manga to break things up, so hopefully it will be a good reason to finish this book!

6. Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck

Tiger's Curse

I am falling back in love with this book again! I am traveling through this book which is great because I am going stir crazy not having been anywhere during the break. I am slow on it because I got distracted by Mia’s problems but I drift to it through out the day

7. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

A childhood read if I get too weighed down or momentarily bored with the others. Plus I’d rather go to Hogwarts than worry about my school stress!

8. Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

Tiger Lily

This will most likely be my next audio book read after I finish Thanks for the Memories. I am really hoping to love this book although if I do not love the narrator I will switch to the copy of the e-book that I own.

9. Broken by Kelley Armstrong

Broken

This is on my monthly TBR and I really at least want to get into this book! I miss Clay and Elena!

10. Once Upon a Time: Red’s Untold Tale by Wendy Toliver

Red's Untold Tale

Guess what Bookworms?! I am happy to say I got approved for an ARC on Netgalley. I also figured out how to get it to send to my kindle apps! I feel so smart to have figured that out! I really am horribly untech savvy. Which was why I was beyond nervous to request it, but I figured it out! Like my mom says to the kids at her school (she’s a secretary) “Kiss your brain” I was so proud that I bested the tech in my life! Anywho I am beyond shocked I was approved! I am huge Oncer fan, so I really want to try and get some of this done by school.

Yes my bookworm friends, I know I have my goal set at 5! I am such a mood reader lately, so to have options lately is my best option. Not including the fact is I am a book polygamist as well! So that is it for now bookworms! Are you participating in this readathon? Let me know and link me your TBR’s. If you want to see updates as I read you can follow me on Twitter @CKReads. Good luck with your reading week, and especially if you’re already back to school! Happy reading!

April Wrap-Up & May TBR

Hey Bookworms! Here as promised is my April Wrap-up, May TBR, and some little life updates! So Let’s get started with the 9 books I read in April! 4 Novels (?), 2 graphic novels/comics, 1 manga, and 1 audio book. So I will start from what I started with at the beginning of the month to the last I finished. As always the goodreads links are in the titles because I am not the best at summaries, and don’t want to be biased to any store!

April Wrap-Up

1. When I’m Gone by Abbi Glines

When I'm Gone

Review/Retrospection here!

2. Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods by Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson's Greek Gods

This is why I had a question mark next to novel because I would list this as an anthology. I loved hearing Percy narrate this and the illustrations are AMAZING! Anyone who’s read the PoJ series I definitely recommend reading this it was a 5/5 stars!

3. Once Upon a Time: Out of the Past by Kalinda Vázquez (Text) and Corinna Bechko (Illustrations)

Once Upon a Time Out of the Past

I fangirled so much when this preorder came! It was gorgeous without the dust jacket! The pictures are on my Twitter date April 16th because I can’t get them off my phone right now, but I was a happy Oncer! That being said I do pay attention to the illustrations and can tend to be picky and they can even kill a story for me. Regina’s and Hook’s were not my favorite. Honestly I couldn’t tell she was Regina… I did like the story lines of all of them, so this graphic novel was a 4/5 stars!

4. Ceres, Celestial Legend Volume 2: Yuhi by Yuu Watase

Ceres Volume 2

This was a reread for me this was my favorite manga/anime in middle school and high school. I wish I had the DVD’s but the manga’s are available as E-books, so it’s a compromise. I won’t say much else because it was a sequel, but it was a 5/5 stars for me even if Aya got on my nerves in a few scenes

5. One Day by David Nicholls

One Day

This was my audiobook for the month and if I do break my ban it will probably be for more audiobooks! I did a short summary of what I thought in my 24 Hour Readathon Wrapup! This is one of my favorite love stories in the world though!

6. Pivot Point by Kasie West

Pivot Point

Super powered teens yes please! The review for this one is also in my 24 Hour Readathon Wrapup, but it was a really fun read that kept me guessing!

7. New X-Men Book 1 by Grant Morrison

New X-Men Book 1

I finished this Thursday and although the art work got better I got a little bored and bit confused near the end of it. I do want to keep trying with these comics though. I really want to open myself to more graphic novels and comics! I really did love Wolverine, so at least that is consistent! I gave it a 3/5 stars!

8. Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz

Blue Bloods book one

This is another reread from high school and I found myself loving Oliver all over again. I really do love the underdog characters. This is one of my favorite takes on Vampires the thought of them being fallen angels it really is interesting. Plus I have a weakness for anything that involves reincarnation. That being said growing up there were a few moments with the characters that annoyed me about them. It was a 4/5 stars, but I am definitely going to enjoy rereading this series!

9. Disney by Rees Quinn

Disney

I enjoyed it a bit at the beginning, but then it seemed like someone just copied and pasted it from the internet. I know a biography is about someone else’s life, but i feel the writer should still have a voice. It was a 2/5 stars for me.

May TBR

(Starting with my currently reading to what I want to read next!)

1. A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

A Game of Thrones

I know, I know I’ve been reading this forever! School got busy and it was a bit of heavy read, so I stopped reading it in March and April. I want to finish it when the semester is over which is next week, so I want to buckle down with it. After I finish I hope to continue with my buddy read onto the second book!

2. The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket

The Bad Beginning

I know it’s a short book, but I have some school reading to get done this weekend, so I plan to take this bit by bit and finish it really soon!

3. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

Cruel Beauty

My first audio book of the month and I’m not sure which I love more the story or the Narrator’s voice! I plan to finish it within the next week or two because I am hypnotized!

4. The Time Travelers Volume One by Caroline B. Cooney

Time Travelers

Honestly another reread nostalgia case! In the first 30 pages I found it cute, but now reading it older I find some of the characters behaviors annoying… It got a bit slow and a bit boring, but I want to push through this!

5. Out of Time by Jen McLaughlin

Out of Time

This is a second book in a new adult series I forgot about, so I reread the last bit of the first book, Out of Linebefore diving into this one. It pulled me in, but I have a few notes already in the first few chapters. I think this will be the next book I want to review!

6. Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour

Everything Leads to You

I’ve wanted to read this book since it’s release, so I’m really really hoping to read it this month! I hope it’s everything I have been waiting for!

7. The Heir by Kiera Cass

The Heir

On Tuesday I am seriously excited to feed my curiosity about this book! I can’t wait for it to come out! So whatever I am reading I am dropping to devour this!!!

I also plan on participating in Bout of Books readathon this time around to try and knock out my TBR some more! The last day for sign-ups is on the 12th. This readathon takes place from the 11th to the 17th. So next weekend I will post a TBR for that on Friday. I just am excited to do another readathon they make me feel accomplished.

So bookworms that is my wrap-up and my TBR! I am happy with my reading this month it felt more relaxed. Have you read any of these books? Do you plan to? Are you going to participate in Bout of Books? What May releases are you excited for? Let me know in the comments. Talking about books is my favorite! Also I updated my blog to include a contact page, so if you want to talk or suggest things you want me to talk about feel free to contact me! Happy reading and have a good weekend! I will post again very soon!

Let Spring Break Begin!!!

Hey bookworms! I am free!!! Well at least of my on Campus classes! I still have to do a post for my online Sociology class on Sunday, but I don’t have to stress about stuff due on Monday! It feels so good to not wake up stressing about the million things to do. I am in my last year of University well at least in my undergrad, and I put more pressure on myself to get A’s! I want to get the most out of my classes especially my creative writing class! So unlike some people who get to go away for break… I am a little disappointed to say my plans to go away for my last one didn’t work out as planned, but that’s life. *shrugs* Instead, I am going to travel the best way a college student can without going anywhere! How is that do you ask? With books, movies/ shows, and my new video game! So in case you’re curious about what I plan to read, watch, and play I’d thought I’d do a blog post! Plus I plan to also fill this break with blogging and writing for my next workshop submission which is due on Thursday. So, bookworms, even if this break will seem a bit lazy to most people who get to venture out I am going to try and keep productive!

Books

So I’ve already finished two books since the first day of my break which was yesterday, and it makes me feel AMAZING! I’ve been in a huge slump since the semester started, and maybe because I haven’t found anything we’ve read in class too interesting. You would think that since they bored me they would have spurred me onto want to read more for fun they had the opposite effect. Since the reading was not something I looked forward to, they take me forever to read and by the time I finish it’s time to get ready for bed. So now that my Theory Test due date was moved I plan to spend spring break to read purely for pleasure! Here is what I read and plan to finish/read for break.

Recently Finished:

 1. Pokemon Adventures Volume 3 by Hidenori Kusaka, Satoshi Yamamoto

Pokemon Adventures Volume 3

Honestly my brain was on break on Wednesday in class. I couldn’t focus at all, so while I tried my best to participate I was reading this in class. I know horrible, but I couldn’t help it! I finished it late Wednesday, and it was a great way to start break! I gave it a 5 out of 5 stars!

2. Unleashed by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguié

Wolf Springs Chronicles

This book was one of the few I got at the Las Vegas Valley Book Festival! It’s a paperback which means I have to be careful with it because of moments when my hands sweat badly. So I’ve been reading it off and on since October! I know forever, right? It’s not that it didn’t keep me interested, but life gets in the way! So this book was the first novel I wanted to finish over break, and I don’t regret it. Well… Maybe a bit because it’s part of a trilogy… Which of course means I want the other two! I rate it a 4 out of 5 stars and will talk more about why in my wrap-up!

Spring Break TBR

Now I know I have talked about the first 4 for the last few months, but again I blame my slump! So I really plan to dig into them, and get them read over break! The rest are ones I’ve been dying to read, so I am so excited to devour them!

1. A Game of Thrones By George R.R. Martin

A Game of Thrones

2.  Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

Bitten

3.  Hood By Emma Donoghue

Hood

4. Eat, Pray, Love By Elizabeth Gilbert

Eat Pray Love

5. One Day by David Nicholls

6. The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman

7. Inkheart by Cornelia Funke

Inkheart

8. Everything Leads to You by Nina Lacour

Everything Leads to You

9. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

What I Plan to Watch!

1. Doctor Who

Doctor-who-logo-nine

Okay now if you read my Valentine’s Day post you know I am a Whovian! Now for break binge watching Doctor Who on Netflix will not only be for pleasure, but I also plan to use it for my final project in my Women Traveler’s class! Using my favorite companions as the travelers I am doing my project on. I’m on the fence though about using my blog for this project, so if anyone thinks using my blog for this is a good idea let me know please!

2. Once Upon a Time

Once_Upon_aTime_promo_image

I am a huuuuuuuuuuge Oncer it is one of my favorite shows and I know I will watch it as normal, but it deserves a mention! I can’t wait till Sundays and am more than happy it’s back on!

3. Boy Meets World

boy-meets-world-photo

Well since I can’t go anywhere for break I plan on buying the DVD’s off of amazon to compensate! This show always makes me feel better even when it makes me feel the feels! So yeah the book buying ban starts, but to make myself feel better I am buying movies… Yes I have a problem…

4. Wolf’s Rain

Wolf-s-Rain2861341-1024-768

This is one of my favorite animes! I love anything with Wolves and I think this was one of my first animes. I own all the DVDs and feel I need to feel the feels of this anime again. It might get me in the mood for working on my story that involves wolves in a way. So I think this deserves a binge as well!

5. Any of My Gerard Butler Movies

Gerard Butler Wallpaper @ Go4Celebrity.com

So here is a fact about me Gerard Butler is my number one celebrity crush, and he even has his own section in my DVD case (I have a big album type thing because I feel actual cases take up too much room)! He is just perfection that only gets better with age. Like I said above since I’m not going on break I am splurging a bit on DVD’s most of them GB movies! So to make up for the fact that I won’t be able to spend break visiting my bf (timing and schedules suck, but there is hopefully more trips to come!)… I plan to distract myself with Gerry’s eyes and oh so yummy accent…

My Game

Tales of Xillia

tales-of-xillia-logo

I got this book for my birthday for my PS3, so I’ve only been playing it for a bit, but so far loving the story line! I love that you get to choose between the two main characters whose story line you get to follow. I love RPG games I guess it goes hand and hand in loving books because I love a good story line. I am not the best gamer because the PS3 is the first big game system in a while, so I am not the best gamer, but I try.

So bookworms those are my spring break plans! If you are on break, what do you plan on doing? If you already had break, what did you do? Have you read any of the books I mentioned or do you plan to? Are you part of the fandoms mentioned above? Are you an anime lover who has any good ones to share? What system or games do you like to play? Who is your celebrity crush?  If you guys want to see what movies I buy let me know if you want to see a haul! Have a good weekend and fill it with fun! Sorry if this post was long I just am trying to perk myself up about the perks of staying home for break. So I hope you guys like at least some of this post.

My Top Favorite 14 Fictional Couples

Hey Bookworms! Hope you guys are having a good V-Day Weekend! Whether it’s out with loved ones or loving your books! So, I know this is a day late, but we ended up celebrating my little cousin’s birthday a bit last minute on Valentine’s Day, but I love how he gets excited to watch movies with me, so it made my day much better. It is Valentine’s weekend so I thought I would post my 14 favorite couples (since I had planned to post it on Valentine’s Day, which is the 14th). Now so as to not spoil some of these couples which are in a love triangle some of these are the ones I wanted together, but I won’t be clarifying which is which! This list will include books and shows because the key word is (sadly) fictional these are the couples I love and root for!

1. Sydney and Adrian from the Bloodline Series seriously they are a couple I have been behind since day one! No matter what someone struggles with if your love is strong enough you can make it through.

Bloodlines

2. Ian O’Shea and Wanderer from The Host by Stephenie Meyer show that you can truly love someone no matter their differences. You see the difference and love them for it which gave me hope.

The Host

3. Kishan and Kelsey the Tiger’s Curse series by Colleen Houck I don’t know I love the friendship and Kishan is just plain yummy! You can fall in love with the one you didn’t expect to and better yet he will always be your best friend to make you laugh and smile.

Tiger's Quest

4. Calla and Ren from the Nightshade series By Andrea Cremer proving that finding wild hot chemistry and finding your alpha does exist.

Nightshade Series

5.Percy and Annabeth from the Percy Jackson and the Olympian Series by Rick Riordan proves that even if they drive you crazy you can grow to love them.

The Lightning Thief

6. Vivian and Gabriel from Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause proves that if you quit trying to be something you are not love can be right under your nose

Blood and Chocolate

7. Elena and Clayton from Bitten by Kelley Armstrong either in the book or show their story shows me that love will prevail even when you fight it and to look through their eyes and heart to find that they may be doing something out of love

Bitten

8. America and Maxon from The Selection Series by Kiera Cass that real love is never the easiest, but it will find a way to win.

The Selection

9. Emma and Dexter from One Day by David Nicholls it proves even though things may not fall into place when we want it to, but if it’s meant to be it will happen. This is absolutely one of my favorite books and movies!

10. Celia and Marco from The Night Circus proving you can’t fight fate even if you are fighting for your lives.

So there are my fictional love inspirations these are the ones that make me keep believing in love when I hit rocks in my own relationship. It doesn’t make me love my love life or the boy I love less, but since my examples in love familiar wise I have always looked to fiction to help me deal with the difficult sides. So Bookworms who are your favorite couples? Did I intrigue any of your bookworms to trying these shows or books? Have you seen any of these shows?  Feel free to share below!
