Hey bookworms! I thought I’d do a quick post before I’m drowning in the homework I plan to start at 4. I honestly have no clue how I am going to survive this semester… So between all the homework I … Continue reading
Hey bookworms! It’s me again! I thought since I got my wrap-up last night I thought I would let you all in on the books I am going to try to read in September. Now with me in my last semester of University (bf just thought: a school bus would make the time of year more recognizable to readers plus it made an awesome banner) I know I probably won’t have much time to leisure read… So that being said, my overall goal is 8-12 books, but not pressuring myself much because school is enough pressure. Plus I also have already read 3 books over this long weekend! That being said here is what I hope to get to or at least the ones that are currently on my mind..
1. Hot Blooded by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie
I am currently reading this and plan to get back to it when I finish this blog post! Only in the first few pages, but these authors do a good job of pulling you back in!
2. The Jewel by Amy Ewing
Library book I finally got my turn for but it is due in 6 days, so will be one of the ones I have to hurry to finish!
3. Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen
After reading Tiger Lily I was craving another retelling, so I picked this up on Thursday from the library. I hope this is a good one because I’ve been wanting to read it since I first started blogging.
4. Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck
Current reread and hope to finish tonight or tomorrow. Tuesday at latest.
5. Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
My favorite book and movie. This will be a reread for me but a first read for Paige as we plan to start this at the same time to see if she likes it enough for the 2nd book to be worth it for our twist on a Traveling Book. We’ve tried emailing during a buddy read, but school can get in the way, so with our traveling book starting the book with one of us and then sending it to the other before sending it back to the original. We can share our thoughts and make the read a mini book club between the 2 of us.
6. Sisterhood Everlasting by Ann Brashares
I plan to finish my reread of the series with an audiobook of this which I play to listen to in a bit before bed. Hopefully listening won’t hit me too hard with the feels.
8. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Vol 6 by Naoko Takeuchi, William Flanagan
As I mentioned in my Wrap-Up I am reading the rest of the series from the library, so of course the next two make it on my list. =)
9. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Vol 7 by Naoko Takeuchi, William Flanagan (Translator)
11. Red’s Untold Tale by Wendy Toliver
I almost forgot this one! I received a digital ARC of this from Netgalley. It is downloaded on the Kindle App I installed on my nook. It releases on the 22nd, so I want to try and have it read by next Friday and a review up on that Saturday. Well wish me luck on this one! Red is one of my favorite characters, so I’m really hoping that I love it!
Well, bookworms, those are the books that are currently sitting on my mind. Now these do not include readathons I plan to join just the ones that are calling to me right now. So have you read any of these? What are you feelings on them? What are your goals for reading? Feel free to let me know in the comments! Happy reading!

Hey Bookworms! It is finally time for my TBR! I have been thinking over it for a while because I didn’t read many of the books from My July TBR… So the title for this TBR will hopefully make up for it because I discovered I have become a more of a mood reader lately. I want to read one thing one minute and another the next! So my TBR isn’t going to be too ambitious because I start my last semester on the 24th. I know school will only take up the last week of August, but better safe than sorry. So any who, let’s get started and talk about the books that are on my mind now!
My August TBR
1. The Rest of The Princess Diaries Series by Meg Cabot
Hope you guys don’t mind the variety of covers! I am currently listening to Princess on the Brink and it already has me giggling. I am reading this series through my Scribd subscription which when on a book buying ban or a bad library is worth it! They don’t have Princess Mia and Forever Princess on audiobook though, so those will be read through the e-books. Finishing the last the Royal Wedding via audiobook once more and I can’t wait to see how all the characters will continue to grow.
2. The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows
I plan on starting and finishing this book this weekend. It is due next week, so I want to get it done this time!
3. Blue Moon by Alyson Noel
I know I know I have had this book on my last 2 tbrs! I will finish it by Friday though because that is when it is due! I am going to get back to reading it after this post.
4. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
Another book I plan on starting this one this weekend too because it’s due on the 18th. It is a little big, so the sooner I start it the quicker I can get it done because I can’t renew it because other people are waiting for it.
5. Hot Blooded by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie
Another book I’ve had on my TBR for a while, but I definitely need to read it soon! It is a library book and sadly it is not mine to take my time with…
6. Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
Another one I haven’t gotten to this summer, but I really want to try it! It is getting a lot of love this summer and I want to love it too!
7. Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck
I want to read Reawakened Houck’s new book when it comes out, but I want to get reacquainted with her writing. I also really miss Kishan! I want to travel through this book too.
8. Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares
I want to continue my reread of this series as a listen. I want to reconnect with these girls who I connect with.
9. Fire and Flood by Victoria Scott
I bought the e-book last month and I am very excited to read it. The premise has me very curious, but I hope it is fast paced!
10. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling
I’m hoping reading this will make my last semester of college less scary.. I mean if Harry faced Voldemort at 11; I can handle the “real” world right? I hope so…
11. Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
Honestly I am craving a reread and a strong female alpha, so I want to reread this. Plus it is one of my favorite series.
12. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
Another e-book I got on sale and I am super excited to continue this series! I adored the first book, so I cannot wait to see what happens next!
13.Thanks for the Memories by Cecelia Ahern
I am dying to continue on my Ahern kick! This is one of the audiobooks available through Scribd and I need more Ahern!
14. Broken by Kelley Armstrong
Another one that has been lingering on TBR too, but I know if I don’t get it done by the end of summer. It will have to wait until a break.
Well bookworms! That is some of the books I hope to read, but who knows if I will stick to it. My goal for the month as far as the number of books I want to read is 14. I’ve already read 3 books, so I think I can reach it! Have you read any of these? What is on your TBR? What is your monthly goal? Do rereads tear out your heart like they did the first time? Feel free to let me know in the comments! Happy Reading!

Hey Bookworms! I am scheduling posts now and I know this one should’ve gone up yesterday, but I have been having a lazy streak. I am also sleepy as writing this, so this post will be on the short side. I hope you still enjoy because I will be talking about 2 of my favorite subjects: Books and movies so let’s begin!
Day 19: Favorite Book to Film
Life of Pi by Yann Martel
I read this book in 11th grade, so being forced to read wasn’t my favorite. Now looking back I want to try and read it for pleasure. I remember the imagery and symbolism was amazing and let’s face it I was just too young to appreciate it. The adaption was just as beautiful and covered the key points very well. This book and movie takes you on journey and love its hints of magical realism. It makes you think and wonder which version is true. The movie is one of my favorites and one I wish I owned! Here is the trailer for you to enjoy. So Bookworms tell me what your favorite adaption is! Have you read this books or watched this movie? Happy Reading and Watching!
Hey Bookworms hope your Friday is going/went well. I made it to the 4th day even if I am posting a little later. So today’s post is a build off of Day 3’s post! Any who I’ll get started.
Day 4: Favorite Book in Favorite Series
Tiger’s Quest by Colleen Houck
This is the sequel to Tiger’s Curse and my favorite book in the series. Now let me leave you a list down below in tradition of yesterdays post and let’s face it there is more than one reason I love this book.
Reasons I Adore TQ
1. Get to Know My Book BF More: We get to see a lot more of a Certain yummy Indian Prince Kishan more
2. Mythology: Once more how it’s woven and combined in this story
3. The Quest and the Reward: Not going to say what it is because I don’t want to spoil you guys but it’s my favorite
4. Dating: Describes the dating life when you don’t find your Prince
5. Kelsi Learning How to Defend Herself: She learns martial arts so she doesn’t have to be your classic D.D (Damsel in Distress) I love that she doesn’t want the boys to completely protect her.
6. Treats: The yummy shakes they get and the cookies Kelsey makes
7. Definition: Characters becoming even more themselves making you more attached
8. Setting: Setting is what I struggle most at so I envy authors who can put you in them so easily
9. Creatures: Fairies!!!
10. Kishan: Again I love him so he needs to be two reasons to read this!
That is just some of the many reasons I love this book and need to do a reread ASAP! I really urge you to start this series if your unable to travel this summer and for some reason this is the book I think of when I think of summer. I may not be willing to share my book bf, but I do want to get this series more reader! So if you can handle a good love triangle, a life risking quest, prophecies and love mythology pick up this series.
That’s all for Day 4 bookworms! I know this was a bit of a gush but I adore this series and want to get it more readers. I know this is posted late, but it is still Day 4. Hope you guys click to see what I have for day 5! Happy reading!
Hey Bookworms! It’s me again! Look I made it to day 3! I am a bit proud of myself! Any who how is your day? Currently I am having a Gerard Butler movie marathon as I blog today. Currently finishing up my favorite one and also my favorite movie ever PS I Love You. This post isn’t about movies though this is about books! So I will get started. (Here are Day’s 1 & 2 if you haven’t read them and are curious to see)
Day 3: Favorite Series
The Tiger’s Curse Series by Colleen Houck
Now if you have been following this blog for a while you’ve seen me mention this series before. Honestly this question was a struggle to decide because I have about 6 favorite series, but I chose this one for tomorrow’s question. This one is a series that I have a distinct favorite book in.
Honestly I adore this series, but if you DON’T like love triangles it is not for you, but if you DO LOVE hot indian princes from a different time this is for you.
Reasons I Love This Series
1. The mythology: within it and how it is woven in
2. Fairy-Tale Retelling (Possibly?): The Author has mentioned it was inspired by Beauty and the Beast
3.. The Setting: Asia is somewhere I’ve always wanted to go and never had the money to do so. Why books were created
4. The Love Triangle: I love a good love triangle if it makes sense for the story and both interests stand a chance
6. HOT INDIAN PRINCES
7. My Number one Book Boyfriend
8. Strong Female Character who is more than willing to fight to protect the people she has grown to love
9. Characters I’ve grown to love
10. The Quest and Prophecy
11. A really Wicked Villian: Lokesh
Reasons it is Currently Upsetting Me:
1. THE 5th Book Currently Has NO Release Date
I could mention the other reason it upsets me, but I don’t want to spoil anyone who hasn’t read it! That is all I have to say for this post! I hope my reasons were good enough to at least intrigue you! Now I’m gonna watch Chasing Mavericks before I work on my 2nd post for today! I will leave a trailer for the movie down below just for fun =) Happy reading!
