Weekend Plans: From Watching to Reading

Hey bookworms! We haven’t talked in a bit, so I thought why not give you guys my plans for the weekend. No adventures out for me though because work forgot to include P (pay) in PTO. They plan to pay me on this check, but it ruins all the plans I had set. I am already eager to go back to Vancouver, 3.5 days was not enough.

I still want to go to Vancouver Island, go whale watching, maybe see the orchestra, go to the museum. Get a better place to stay next time for sure. My back is still aching from the beds. I didn’t take many pictures… I am the worst at that… I like to consider myself a live in the moment kind of girl. Commit to memory rather than pause to get the perfect shot if that makes sense?

Hopefully I have more to tell and show you next time, but know I was happy and content with my trip.

Watching

Anne with an E

I am currently binging this on Netflix and loving it! It makes me want to explore the setting even more than before. The cast of children really bring the characters to life and it makes me want to continue reading the books. It is an amazing series! Can’t wait for season 2!

As for tomorrow I plan to have a movie day planned

A Lot Like Love

Tomorrow is going to be a mushy day except for one movie on the list if you can’t tell and I love the friendship this movie starts out with and I think it is exactly what I need.

One Day

Honestly one of my favorite movies and love stories and to me one of the most realistic (also one of my favorite books). When life gets a little rough it is one of the things that makes it easier is watching this.

Porco Rosso

An adorable lesser known Studio Ghibli film. It is cute and funny definitely lift your spirits in a good way kind of movie if you’re needing a smile. Yes, I suck at summaries and honestly haven’t seen it in years XD

and end my night with

Lady and the Tramp

What better way to get ready for a work week than to end your weekend with a disney classic? Always will be one of my favorites and it is one of the best love stories in history. At least in my opinion…

What I’ll be Reading

Perfect by Cecelia Ahern

Perfect

My current audio book listen and I’m only a few minutes in so I don’t have thoughts yet, but I was really inspired by the first one. Needless to say I have high hopes for the sequel and I may be a bit biased because she is one of my favorite authors.

Moon Chosen by P.C. Cast

Moon Chosen

I haven’t picked it up since before I left on my trip, but I feel it is a good time to pick it back up and I feel like it will keep me from getting lost in my own thoughts.

The Complete Tales of Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne

Because I think everyone should read children’s classics no matter how old they are. They can hold more more truth than that of adult fiction. I think I will read a few tales and see what I can learn..

Well bookworms I think that is all that is on my agenda this weekend and maybe an ebook if I decide to turn on my nook tonight. What is on your holiday weekend agenda? Any great books or movies? Let me know in the comments and I hope you all have fun! Happy Reading!

Friday Reads: I’m Under a Heap of Homework, But I Need to Read For Me

Hey bookworms! I thought I’d do a quick post before I’m drowning in the homework I plan to start at 4. I honestly have no clue how I am going to survive this semester… So between all the homework I … Continue reading

Friday Reads: 7/17/15

friday

Hey Bookworms this will technically be going up on Saturday, but I started it on Friday just needed to finish it up. I know I was MIA for a few days or… Almost a week, but thanks to fantastic people in my life I am back! I will be scheduling my challenge post after this, but this one is about my weekend reads. Not like I’ll be sleeping with this crazy wind, but let’s get to it!

Books to Keep Me Company This Weekend

1. The Young Elites by Marie Lu

The Young Elites

I’m halfway through this so I’m hoping to get it done by Saturday night and try not to get distracted!

2. Past My Defenses by Wendy Sparrow

I’m only 70 pages in and it’s frustrating to not have finished, but haven’t been on my nook much so my goal is by Sunday! We’ll see if it happens though.

3. The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks

The Longest Ride

I’m plan on turning this in tomorrow, so we’ll see if I can listen to the last discs tonight! I am going to grab them after this post and see how far I get

4. Blue Moon by Alyson Noel

Blue Moon

If I finish the others I really want to try and get to this one. Old books provide comfort and I hope keep me from getting slumpy.

Well that’s all for now bookworms. I am going to go grab those discs and see how far I get. The wind is still going, so I’ll be up! Happy reading and I’ll have another post up by Saturday night!
